Recently eliminated X Factor contestant Ella Henderson has suffered another setback after being forced to cancel a string of shows due to her age.
The singer, who had been a favourite to win the show before she was sensationally dismissed last weekend, was due to perform at Bushwackers nightclub in Swindon. But due to an employment law, the 16-year-old singer won't be allowed to fill her 12.30am slot.
Craig Pinches, speaking on behalf of the club, said: "Ella was due to perform at 12:30am but there is a law that says because she's 16 she can't work after midnight.
"It's a shame - but it's nobody's fault."
Bushwackers hosts a weekly X Factor-themed night, with contestants from the show such as District 3, Kye Sones and MK1 all having previously performed at the club.
The club are now trying to ascertain whether the teenage singer will be able to perform if her slot is moved to before midnight.
Ella's dismisal caused shock and uproar following last week's show, with the show's head honcho Simon Cowell leading the tweets of disbelief.
"Ella! Gone??? Unbelievable," the record mogol tweeted.
The result led some fans to call the show a 'farce' and a 'joke'.
