Psy's 'Gangnam Style' has overtaken Justin Bieber hit 'Baby' to be the most watched video on YouTube - ever.

In comparison to the 804 million views that 'Baby' has racked up since 2010, 'Gangnam Style' now has 811 million views - and counting.

It doesn't seem likely to slow down, either, as 'Gangnam Style' is currently getting six million new views every single day. If it continues at this rate, 'Gangnam Style' could be set to be the first video ever on YouTube to gain over a billion hits.

Psy took to Twitter in order to share the news with his fans, writing, "#GangnamStyle just became the most watched video @YouTube!! #History http://youtu.be/9bZkp7q19f0 @youtube 에서"

The viral hit also broke the record for the most 'liked' video back in September, when it was posted, and now has more than 5.4 million 'likes' - along with 329,711 'dislikes'.

And creator Psy never even thought that it would be a hit outside of Korea, explaining - as quoted by the Daily Mail - "The YouTube video never targeted foreign countries. It was for local fans.

"My goal in this music video was to look uncool until the end. I achieved it."
