Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood admitted he could barely see past the first few rows of the 20,000 fans that had flocked to see the return of the Stones last Sunday at the O2 Arena.

Wood told The Sun: "If I haven't got my glasses on I can only see the first couple of rows."

The 65-year-old rocker did find the funny side, however, as he received some ribbing from frontman, Mick Jagger.

Wood Continued: "It was quite funny the other day with the signs people hold up. I went up to Mick and said, 'What does it say on that sign there?' And he went, 'I think it says you are rubbish'."

The Rolling Stones play their second night at the O2 this Thursday 29 November

The band return to the O2 for one last hurrah on Thurday 29 November before heading to the United States for two more comeback gigs in New Jersey and New York.

As it seems Wood is too Rock & Roll for glasses at gigs, you may need to get yourself to the first couple of rows if you're planning to bring a banner.
