27 November, 2012: The Maccabees have got the right idea - get out of the UK as soon as it gets cold, and last night they performed at the Pavilhao Atlantic in Lisbon, Portugal. We'd bet good money it was a more pleasant temperature there than it was in London last night...
It wouldn't be a surprise if the band were taking some time off as 2012 comes to a close, having enjoyed a hugely successful year after the release of their album Given To The Wild. The record didn't bag them the Mercury Music Prize they were gunning for, but it has set the band on their way to becoming one of the next big British bands - and a potential future headliner on the festival scene.
