Robbie Williams called fans on Skype after his Monday press conference, in order to give away tickets to his recently announced Take The Crown tour.

Robbie posted his Skype username on his blog on Thursday, along with a message informing fans that he would be talking to some of them on the following Monday, at 6pm.

After the press conference - in which he announced his upcoming Take The Crown UK & Europe stadium tour - Robbie called eight fans across Europe.

The 'Candy' singer gave away tickets to the 2013 tour, which has dates in London, Glasgow and Manchester in England - as well as Germany, Sweden and Belgium, amongst others.

Robbie will be supported on the tour by Olly Murs, who will be his opening act. The Take The Crown tour is Robbie's first in six years.

Speaking about the tour to The Sun, Robbie said, "It's legacy time.

"The album's called Take The Crown and I want to seal my place in pop history and deliver a tour of great magnitude while I still can."
