X Factor finalist Rylan Clark has signed a new deal... A temporary role as Daybreak's showbiz presenter.
The camp Essex singer was eliminated from The X Factor less than a week ago and has already been touted to sign up for the likes of Eurovision and Celebrity Big Brother, but his first role after the TV talent show has now been revealed.
Clark will stand in for regular showbiz presenter Richard Arnold on the show next week (3 - 7 December, 2012) on the ITV early morning show. He will be seen on screens at 7:50am every morning, so the majority of the modern world can easily escape the hysterics experienced during the past few months of his X Factor experience.
Speaking of his new role, Clark says: "I can't believe it! I only left X Factor a week ago and now I'm joining Lorraine and Aled on the Daybreak sofa.
"I'm a massive fan of the show and it’s going to be so much fun sharing all the showbiz news and gossip with the nation each morning.
"I'm looking forward to keeping Richard's seat warm while he’s swanning off on holiday, but I won't be asking for any dancing tips just yet!"
The moment Rylan Clark's X Factor dream died... And work offers flooded in
Clark is said to have been 'innundated' with work offers after his stint on X Factor, and is said to be keen on entering Eurovision in 2013.
Rylan said, "If the country wanted me to represent them (at Eurovision) then I’d happily fly the flag."
And the 24-year-old singer would be perfect for the show, which is already used to X Factor contestants - Jedward have entered two years in a row for Ireland.
Bookies William Hill are currently offering odds of 16/1 that he represents the UK next year.
Spokesperson Mark Young said, "Rylan has really turned the public opinion of him since the live shows started, a number one record may not be far off and we are hearing chat that a Eurovision stint is a possibility."
