Tulisa is set to perform on the X Factor this weekend to promote her debut album The Female Boss - which her record label are worried will miss the Top Ten when it is released next week.

The former N-Dubz releases her debut album next week but is said to be hoping for no more than a No.8 position in the charts despite spending much of 2012 on our TV screens as a judge on The X Factor. Tabloid rumours suggest that Tulisa and her record label hold no hope of The Female Boss hitting No.1.

"We’re not thinking it will be No1 — that’s never going to happen," says a source to The Sun newspaper. "It won’t be top five in a million years. But hopefully it will make the top ten.

"The X Factor thing is a risk as it might not translate into sales and everyone will just slag off her performance if it’s anything less than brilliant."

Tulisa will perform new single 'Sight Of You' on the Sunday night show (2 December 2012) ahead of the album's release. Previous X Factor performances have seen many artists, such as Labrinth and Emeli Sande, experience huge increases in sales after an X Factor performance with many hitting No.1 days later. This wasn't the case for No Doubt sadly, who claimed one of the year's biggest flops with their single 'Looking Hot' - which reportedly sold just 600 copies after their X Factor performance.

Tulisa will no doubt be hoping not to follow in their footsteps.

Will 2012 be Tulisa's last as a judge on The X Factor?

Tulisa joined X Factor in 2011 and became hugely popular with viewers, even winning the show with her act, Little Mix. Her 2012 run on the show has been more troublesome however, as she mentored the girls category.

Singer Lucy Spraggan was forced to pull out of the show after ongoing illness left her unable to perform, Jade Ellis was voted out early in the show and initial favourite Ella Henderson was recently eliminated.
