X Factor finalist Christopher Maloney cliams he wishes he could have enjoyed his X Factor experience, which has been marred by criticism of his out of date style.
The singer has been marred by controversy and negativity since being voted into the live finals by the public, who picked the singer as a 'wild card' to enter the show. He was initially rejected by Gary Barlow when selecting the acts he would take into the live shows.
"With all that has happened negatively and the negative comments, it has put a damper on the whole experience but I’ve not let it affect me," reports The Sun newspaper. "I wish I could have enjoyed it a lot more, you know, but I have enjoyed myself and it’s been everything and more that I could have wished for.
"The judges never picked me, I was picked by Gary as his wild card. The public chose me and have kept me in this competition from the beginning. The support and loyalty have been unbelievable."

There has indeed been a lot of bad press around Maloney. Earlier this week it was rumoured that he would duet with Gary Barlow on the X Factor's live final - because none of the stars invited to sing with him had accepted the invite.
Show bosses were said to be worried he would win on sympathy votes, he was accused of attempting to 'strangle' a woman on a cruise ship, received death threats on Twitter, fought with fellow contestants and come under fire from rivals.
He remains the favourite to win the show however, so he must be doing something right.
