YouTube has always been the playground of those with too much time on their hands. Sometimes the results are wonderous sometimes they are less thrilling.

But Daniel Kim's 50-song, eight-minute mashup of 2012's hits is actually a remarkably impressive feat. It must've taken days and days to get right.

Not only does the Pop Danthology 2012 mashup manage to segue between the likes of Flo Rida, Ellie Goulding and Adele, but it also manages to unite all their videos into one, fluid production.

What's more, it's even an enjoyable listen. Megamixes are generally seen as something from school discos to point and laugh at, but Daniel Kim's eight minutes of 2012 is in fact a credible listen.

So if you're finding yourself struggling to remember what happened in music this year, take ten minutes to remind yourself that Flo Rida whistled, Jessie J claimed to be a domino, and Carly Rae Jepsen asked for your number.
