The Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan reunion is back on, with the pair set to perform Especially For You at the Hit Factory Live Christmas Cracker show.

The duo had initially been set to reunite to perform the track at July's PWL Hit Factory Live gig in Hyde's park, but the pair never got to perform after the festival was called off when the site was deemed unsafe.

But the pair, who had rehearsed together for the July show, will get their chance to perform on December 21, according to the Official Charts Company.

Pete Waterman, who had a hand in writing the now infamous duet, had previously expressed his hope that both entertainers would be available for the rescheduled show at the O2 in London.

Minogue and Donovan released 'Especially For You' in November 1988 after having appeared together in the soap opera Neighbours. The track remains the best-selling track written by the Stock Aitken Waterman team.

Last month Kylie revealed that she had begun working on material for a new album.

In an interview with Yahoo OMG she said: "I have started to work in the next album. Obviously this year has had me focused on other things but when I had a bit of time - actually in January, that long ago - I took my first steps into the studio."

But she went on to explain that the record is still very much a work in progress and that next year would be when she would really get stuck in.

This year has seen the Australian popstar release 'The Abbey Road Sessions', a collection of re-wrokings of hits including Can't Get You Out Of My Head and the Nick Cave collaboration Where The Wild Roses Grow.
