James Arthur: 'I am going to get my teeth sorted out'

James Arthur has revealed his first priority after winning this year's X Factor - he's planning to get his teeth fixed.

The singer is looking forward to having his teeth fixed, admitting that he's always been self conscious about them and has been reluctant to smile.

James Arthur told the Daily Mirror, "I am going to get my teeth sorted out and whitened. Not for vain reasons - I have always wanted to get them done. I'm a singer. I don't want to open my mouth and have these crooked teeth going on."

"It's just a thing, everyone has their hang-ups. I've always thought I'm pretty ugly. If I get one comment saying I need my teeth sorted out, I can't forget it."

We're guessing he didn't take Frankie Boyle's earlier tweet lightly then, in which the comedian said, "James Arthur looks like someone put a sheep's teeth into a baby's head." Ouch.

"I might not look like the happiest guy but I just don't smile because I’ve got s**t teeth!" James added. "But I’m not going Joey Essex or Cowell, I just want them straightened and maybe whitened a bit."

James also has plans to go to the gym, saying that he needs to tone up due to putting weight on since appearing on the show.

He continued, "I've got proper fat since being on the show because I've actually been eating. [Before the show] I lived off a burger a day, that's all I could afford. I was happy with that but I've over-indulged since being here.

"The canteen food is free so I was like, 'Yeah, bring it on'. I have got to hit the gym because I have put some beef on. Canteen food man. I daren't get on the scales."
