Dublin quartet Kodaline have this afternoon unveiled a new video, bravely taking on one of LCD Soundsystem's best loved songs, All My Friends.
The track is taken from Kodaline's second EP The High Hopes. The video follows a young boy, apparently separated from his friends by some protective older estate lads who quickly mislead him.
The band, who were recently included in the BBC's Sound of 2013 list, opt for gentle vocals and airy strummed giutars.
And while it's a solid effort, it sadly struggles to live up to the unashamedly honest original - and James Murphy's masterful simplicity.
Kodaline have had a brilliant 2012. Not only have they ended the year with inclusion on the Sound of 2013 list, but they have also been included in MTV's Brand New in 2013 selection and Shazam's 2013 prediction tip - so 2013 is shaping up to be even better.
Their debut album, In A Perfect World, is set for release on March 18 next year, with The High Hopes EP to be released just before.
