Demand for Kraftwerk tickets has been so high that the Tate Modern website (where the gigs will take place in 2013) crashed after tickets went on sale.
Tickets for the band's eight night residency went on sale at 7.30am on Wednesday of this week, but before long the site was showing an 'Unavailable Service' message.
Shortly after the ticket page read: "Kraftwerk at Tate Modern has just gone on sale and we are experiencing a phenomenal demand for tickets which is affecting our web server.
"Please try to buy tickets online again later, or call 020 7887 4919 to join the telephone ticketing queue.
"We have extra staff on hand today but demand is extremely high. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you, and hope you are successful in getting you tickets."
The performance, in the gallery's cavernous Tubine Hall, will be accompanied by a highly advanced auidiovisual display.
The elctro music pioneers will play their eight studio album in full on consecutive nights between February 6 and 14 next year.
The band will perform Autobahn (1974), Radio-Activity (1975), Trans Europe Express (1977), The Man-Machine (1978), Computer World (1981), Techno Pop (1986), The mix (1991) and Tour de France (2003), along with additional material from their 40-year career.
The band have already played the same string of shows in New York earlier this year, but are now bringing the musical anthology to British audiences.
Chris Dercon, Director of Tate Modern said: "As a former power station, Tate Modern's Turbine Hall is an ideal venue for Kraftwerk's exploration of technology, energy and rhythm. Bringing together music video and performance, these events will be true gesamtkunstwerk - a total work of art."

But fans aren't able to buy tickets for the whole series with a four-ticket per person limit for a single show, meaning guest have had to pick which album their most eager to see performed live.
