46-year-old Eamonn Kilbride, has died after collapsing after Christmas party following a dancing to 'Gangnam Style' by Psy at a work event.

Mr Kilbride had been enjoying his office Christmas party for the Thwaites brewery in Blackburn, Lancashire where he worked as an IT manager.

The father of three was had been dancing along to 'Gangnam Style' with his wife Julie Kilbride, who had been celebrating her birthday at the Whitehall Country Club in Darwen, Lancashire.

Kilbrade began to complain of chest pains before his wife tried desperately to revive him with CPR.

Paramedics arrived five minutes later, but couldn't revive Mr Kilbride and he was pronounced dead on arrival at Royal Blackburn Hospital shortly after 11.30pm on Saturday.

The family were told by the coroner that Kilbride had suffered from acute heart failure.

Mrs Kilbride paid tribute to her husband who she had been married to for 23 years.

She told The Sun: “I want people to know how he would help anybody whether it was a life-long friend, or someone he had just met. He was a great family man and he worked so hard."

“Eamonn was always the life of the party and loved dancing. We were having a fantastic time at the Christmas party and Eamonn had just finished dancing to Gangnam Style."

Mr Kilbride had three children, Laura-Jade, Jack and Conor.

21-year-old Jack said: "He was a marvellous man and he was really funny."

Mr Kilbride’s funeral takes place at 10am on Wednesday, December 19, at St Mary’s RC Church in Yorkshire Street, Burnley.
