Jay-Z is reportedly already planning ways to help launch James Arthur's career in America.

The X Factor winner is already enjoying success in the UK, with his winner's single 'Impossible' becoming the fastest selling X Factor single ever, and Jay-Z is set to help James crack America as well.

A source told the Daily Star, "Jay-Z is a keen spotter of British talent and is already involved with Rita Ora, K Koke and worked with Tinchy Stryder and Sugababes too. He is convinced James can follow One Direction's lead and break into the American market.

"Jay knows what kind of music James should be making and that's gritty and edgy. He feels his team could master an album of worldwide hits."

Jay-Z is currently in charge of management company Roc Nation, which has Rita Ora and Willow Smith signed, as well as managing artists such as Mark Ronson, Rihanna and Shakira.

However, James is signed to Quest management - and it's doubtful they'll want to let him go so soon!

James Arthur - could he soon be Roc Nation labelmates with Rita Ora?

James seems to have his own plans of who he'd like to work with, however.

When asked by MTV whether he'd like to work with mentor Nicole Scherzinger, James said, "I would absolutely love to."

He added, "In fact, she better work with me!"
