Jessie J has postponed her 2013 arena tour, claiming that she wants to work on her second album instead of performing for fans.

The 'Price Tag' singer has postponed 17 live dates - many of which were sold out - and has rescheduled them to take place at the end of 2013 instead, in an effort to 'give more time' to the recording of hew songs.

In a statement to fans who had already bought tickets for the tour, Jessie J said: "I am honestly truly sorry but I hope you all can understand that it's just because I would like to take more time to finish my new album."

She continued: "I promise to make this tour my biggest and best ever and cannot wait for you all to hear my new songs."

The tour was set to be The Voice judge's first arena tour of the UK and was due to start in Nottingham on February 27, 2013. The tour will now begin in Belfast on October 15, 2013.

Fans will have to wait to see Jessie J on her UK arena tour

Jessie J will be busy in 2013 - as well as working on the album, she has already confirmed that she will be returning for the second series of the BBC's The Voice.

She'll now have her postponed arena dates taking place as well.

We're sure that fans who have already bought tickets for the postponed tour will be hoping her second album is worth the hassle.
