Lady Gaga has today unveiled a full jazz version of her song 'You And I'. Listen to the track below.
The singer tweeted: "'You and I' the jazz version after too many whiskies with Newman."
Brian Newman, the jazz musician with whom she recorded the reworking, replied: "@ladygaga Do you remember the blindfolded take we did of that, babe? Hahaha!!! Let's do it again soon! Always a pleasure!! Love ya!"
The new version sees the track adapted to a relaxed, swinging rhythm with Gaga conributing some sultry vocals that most seasoned jazz singers would be pleased with.
Jazz legend Tony Bennett recently confirmed that he planned to work with the 'Bad Romance' singer on an entire album of jazz music.
Speaking to Billboard, Bennett said the forthcoming record would "really affirm that [Lady Gaga] is one of the best jazz singers that anyone has ever heard."
Bennett and Gaga got to know each other when their cover of 'The Lady Is A Tramp' was included on Bennett's Duets II album.
The pair haven't found time to record the LP togetehr yet, but bother are saidf to be eager to get started on the project.
Bennett also dueted with Amy Winehouse before her untimely death.
