A host of US rock talent have paid tribute to tour manager Josh Stern, who passed away unexpectedly.

Stern had worked with the likes of New Found Glory, Senses Fail, Thrice and many more - and his death has led to an outpouring from US rock stars including Hayley Williams from Paramore, Newfound Glory, Benji Madden and many more.

The cause of death is not yet known.

"Today was hard. There's a lot I don't understand about life. Most of it I never will. Cherish your life & the ones you love. RIP Josh Stern," tweeted Williams.

Madden, of Good Charlotte, spoke of his regret and not telling Stern how much he had meant to him, tweeting: "My friend Josh Stern was a loyal, selfless&compassionate guy who always put a smile on my face&in my heart. I wish I'd have told him that."

Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory said: "Hug & be nice to your friends because you never know what could happen. 2 days ago I was with my tour manager. Now he's gone RIP Josh Stern."
