Fans of Kasabian can now get closer to the band than ever before, after launching their KasabianLive.com app - including the chance to hear new tracks from the band.

Free to download for iPhone and Android handset users, the new app promises exclusive access to the band and taking fans on a virtual tour with the Velociraptor! rockers, behind the scenes and in the studio with the band's main man, Serge Pizzorno. The new app is free to download and offers exclusive interviews and soundfiles.

The app features three streams of content, including 'The Sergery' which will give fans the opportunity to hear music 'straight from Sergio's cutting desk. Test Transmission will feature posts from the band which Access All Areas will be a source of backstage content, featuring photos and videos of the band as they happen.

Breaking news, ticket details, releases and competitions are also promised.

Serge is set to upload new 'soundfiles' he is working on for the band

Kasabian were previously rumoured to be recording a track for the 2012 sequel to the festive classic, The Snowman. However, all festive hopes for the track were dashed when Pizzorno denied outright that they had any involvement with the new animation.

Pizzorno wrote on 6 November 2012 "To all out beautiful fans out there, rest assured that there is no way were are doing a f***g Snowman cover. Sergio x"

Bah humbug. The new Kasabian app is now available to download on iPhones and Android handsets.
