Despite claiming this week that she was forced to sing 'Die Young', Ke$ha said in an earlier interview that she took full credit for the song.
The song was pulled from radio airplay following the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting and, following the news, Ke$ha posted a now deleted tweet stating that she was 'forced' to sing the controversial lyrics.
The singer wrote, "I understand. I had my very own issue with 'Die Young' for this reason. I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO."
However, in an interview that Ke$ha gave to New York radio station 95.5 WPLJ, she takes full credit for the lyrics and says that they are true to her.
She tells the hosts, "I definitely make sure that every word rings true to me because I would never want to misrepresent myself to millions of people around the world ... I wrote and wrote and rewrote that song ten times."

Foster the People's 'Pumped Up Kicks' was also dropped from radio rotation following the tragedy.
The song features lyrics such as "You better run, better run, faster than my bullet."
'Pumped Up Kicks' is according to the band about a kid who 'loses his mind and is plotting revenge', and has been removed from radio airplay due to being inappropriate following the shooting.
