Famed for his wilder days as part of the Manchester group Happy Mondays, Shaun Ryder has recently revealed his less than rock and roll plans on how he will spend his Christmas day.
The 50 year-old frontman told The Sun that he would be tuning in to period drama Downton Abbey. He said: “The missus loves it. I don’t mind it, either. It’s a glamorous soap opera. We’ll also be watching plenty of the Disney Channel – that’s what happens when you have daughters aged three and four.
Ryder also revealed his recent Twilight marathon, claiming that his daughters had made him watch the vampire series of films. He told The Sun: "They even made me watch the Twilight saga the other day – all four of them on the bounce. But they’re OK – they’re just Romeo And Juliet with fangs.”

The Happy Mondays have been back on the road this year, with bandmate Rowetta revealing that things in the band are better than ever now they have put drugs and alcohol behind them.
"You'll never see Shaun in the hotel bar," Rowetta told Gigwise. "I still drink one or two when I'm out but nothing like how it used to be. We used to just binge every night, we'd go through bottles. That doesn't exist anymore, and we all perform better because of it.
"They're not hammering it like they used to. Everyone talks about the drugs, but the alcohol was just as bad, it used to be all day, drinking through rehearsals - but now there's none of that."
