Victoria Beckham claims she remains Posh Spice to this day, and that her former pop persona will never leave her.
In an interview for the upcoming Spice Girls' Story: Viva Forever documentary the singer explained being called Posh Spice. She said, "I was called Posh because I liked the nice restaurants, and the nice clothes, and that was my character. I didn't smile, even in those day."
The popstar-cum-fashion designer has previously shrugged off criticism of her moody appearance. "There was this very strong image. And I am very much that person , even now."
"I get ready to go out sometimes and I catch myself in the mirror and I'm like, 'Oh my God, I've turned into that person'."
Beckham was recently reunited with her Girl Power bandmates - Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell. at the opening of the new Westend show based on their music - Viva Forever!
Looking back on her time in the band, Beckham quipped: "The things we used to get up to! We had a lot of fun. Even me!"
Last weekend rumours spread that the girls were planning to replace Victoria with Sugarbabe Heidi Range, but the group have since denied this speculation.
"It seems there has been some Spice related nonsense written today," Mel C Tweeted.
"None of the Spice Girls would ever or could ever be replaced #justsayin."
The Spice Girls at their heyday, Victoria's the one not smiling
The four other girls attended the premier of the musical, written by Jennifer Saunders, last week, but Victoria attended with her husband and children.
Despite the cheery atmosphere between the girls on opening night, the musical has been slated by critics who've called it boring and claimed the Spice Girls' music is almost unrecognisable.
