Blanck Mass have premiered their new track 'Hellion Earth' online today, and offered it up as a free download for an early Christmas present. Check it out below.
The 10-minute track features a cascade of digital bleeps and ever-intensifying scattering drums. Ominous synths paint a post-apocolyptic soundscape that peaks and troughs.
Blanck Mass, also known as Benjamin John Power (one half of drone band Fuck Buttons) has had quite a year in 2012.
In July a new version of his track 'Sundower' was recorded by The London Symphony Orchestra and featured several times during the London Olympics Opening Ceremony and on the accomopany Isles Of Wonder Soundtrack.
This summer also saw him playing shows in Europe with Portishead and Sigur Ros.
Blanck Mass is currently working on a second album and gettig ready to tour with Sigur Ros in february and March on the European and UK legs of their world tour.
