Rihanna's Christmas vacation in Barbados was disrupted this weekend when a male fan broke into the holiday home in which she is staying, and reportedly got within 12 feet of the singer.
Rihanna is holidaying in her homeland after a manic year of touring, break-ups and taking her clothes off. However, her festive break hasn't got off the most relaxing of starts, after the man invaded the pool area of her current residence. The 'Diamonds' star is said to have been sunbathing by the pool at the time, when the man, who reportedly flew to the Caribbean specifically to get near the star, broke into the property. She was in no danger however, as her bodyguards quickly tackled the intruder.
"The guy got to within about 10 to 12ft of where Rihanna was sitting before he was apprehended by security," says a source to The Sun newspaper.
"He looked fairly harmless but it was a little too close for comfort."
US publication Spread reports that the man, who was wearing on swim-wear was arrested but released without charge.

Rihanna has been photgraphed with a number of female companions during her stay at the luxury villa, despite earlier rumours that she was planning to take Chris Brown with her for a winter vacation.
"The more the public criticise Rihanna for getting back with Chris, the more determined she is to do whatever she wants," said another source to The Sun newspaper earlier in December 2012. "While no one else can understand it, she’s convinced that Chris is the love of her life and her soulmate and that they’re simply meant to be together."
"She’s booked him and his mum into a five-star villa in Barbados over New Year so they can all get some downtime with her family."
The couple's rekindled romance is now said to be over (again) and she now appears to be holidaying with friends instead.
