Frank Ocean has premiered a new track, recorded for the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino's new album Django Unchained - but which was rejected from the final cut of the movie. Listen below.
'Wise Man' was recorded for the new Jamie Foxx movie, and features a distorted electric guitar alongside Ocean's distinctive soulful vocals and heartfelt lyrics.
Tarantino has already explained the reasons behind excluding the track from the soundtrack, saying that there simply wasn't a place on the soundtrack for such a 'fantastic' song.
"Frank Ocean wrote a fantastic ballad that was truly lovely and poetic in every way, there just wasn't a scene for it," the director told Rolling Stone magazine.
"I could have thrown it in quickly just to have it, but that's not why he wrote it and not his intention. So I didn't want to cheapen his effort. But, the song is fantastic, and when Frank decides to unleash it on the public, they'll realise it then."
Ocean posted the below track on his Tumblr, saying: "Django was ill without it". Check out 'Wise Man' below.
