The biggest selling albums of 2012 have been revealed - with British artists leading the big sellers of the past 12 months. Find out who sold what right here, in new data from the Offiicial Charts Company.
The Top Ten selling albums include a number of new releases, but several of the biggest selling records of the year were in fact released in 2011, proving that, despite the disposable nature of much pop music today, that some artists have managed to achieve that all important longevity in music.
Outside the top ten, numbers 20 - 11 (plus the sales figures) are as follows:
