A fan of US boyband The Jonas Brothers is suing the trio for injuries sustained at a US concert in 2010, where she claims she was crushed by excited audience members.

The incident took place at The Grove shopping centre in 2010, according to documents obtained by US gossip website TMZ, where Ashleigh Johnson says she suffered the injuries described in the court papers as being 'agonizingly crushed' by fellow fans.

Johnson claims she was pushed by an uncontrolled audience against a fence at the venue, and claims her injuries left her with serious mental, emotional and physical injuries.

She is now taking legal action against the boyband and Caruso Management, who are responsible for The Grove.

The Jonas Brothers have a hugely devoted fanbase the world over

Lawsuits are part and parcel of the music world, with a number of stars having faced legal challenges in recent months.

Pink is currently being sued by former producers who claim she owes them money from royalties from her debut album, Can't Take Me Home, Madonna was issued with a lawsuit for encouraging gay sex in Russia and Smashing Pumpkins star Billy Corgan was sued by his neighbours after his tree fell on their property, nearly killing them.

Also, Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell was sued by his former maid and 2010 X Factor runner-up Rebecca Ferguson was sued by her former management company after she terminated her contract in early 2012.
