Spice Girl Melanie C recommends X Factor boyband One Direction enjoy their fame while it lasts - as she she says pop careers can all too easily come to an abrupt end.
The boyband are currently enjoying international superstardom and Sporty Spice is no stranger to success herself, and has recommended the 'Kiss You' singers make the most of their time in the spotlight.
"My advice would be just enjoy it because so often with success like that, it is over so quickly," says the 'Wannabe' singer in a new interview with Heat magazine.
"With pop bands, fame is so often short-lived that you have to take every opportunity that you can."
One Direction's second album, Take Me Home, was this week named the fifth biggest selling album of 2012, shifting 616,000 copies and outselling Mumford & Sons Babel by 43,000 copies.

Mel C was recently forced to deny rumours that the Spice Girls would reform once again, after rumours of a new reunion surfaced - one which was apparently set to see Sugababe Heidi Range replace Victoria Beckham in the line-up.
"It seems there has been some Spice related nonsense written today. None of the Spice Girls would ever or could ever be replaced #justsayin," tweeted Mel C after the premiere of their new musical at the end of 2012.
Bunton added: "None of the Spice Girls would ever or could ever be replaced, nonsense in the papers!!!"
