Bestival organiser and BBC radio DJ Rob Da Bank has said that he was told months ago that Daft Punk will not be touring this year.
Despite rumours that the electronic duo could be playing Primavera, Glastonbury or Coachella, Rob Da Bank is saying that there is no fact behind them.
He told eFestivals in an interview just before Christmas, "There's all kinds of crazy rumours flying about at the moment about Daft Punk at Coachella, and The Rolling Stones playing Glastonbury.
"We got told months ago that Daft Punk were definitely not touring next year, but it keeps the rumour mill going."
He also spoke about the proposed line-up for Bestival, saying, "It's public knowledge that I confirmed the Sunday headliner on the weekend of Bestival this year. That's good, and that's another iconic act, that will hopefully be as good as Stevie Wonder was."

"The rest of it is up in the air really, I haven't got lots of offers out on headliners."
"I've got two offers out on two headliners that I really want, and I'm waiting to hear back from them, hopefully in the next week."
He continued, "I would love to come out with the full line-up be the end of January, but we'll have to wait and see, if it doesn't fall into place, then I know I will have to hold back."
