Frank Ocean has responded to the online rumours that he was pulled over for 'suspicious behaviour', despite the fact they have already been proved false.

Despite US website MediaTakeout implying that Ocean was pulled over due to engaging in sexual acts with a male companion, the reasons were actually that Ocean was speeding and had tinted windows, as well as being in possession of pot.

According to BBC News, the police pulled Ocean over when he was driving at speeds of 90mph in a 65mph. They also reportedly found a "small bag of marijuana in his possession".

Ocean took to his Twitter account to react to the claims, writing, "hi guys, i smoke pot. ok guys, bye."

He posted shortly after, "hi guys, i drive a m3. that bitch fast..ok guys, bye. :)"

The official police statement, also published on the V-103 website, reads:

"On 12/31/2012 at approximately 1630 hours, Officer E. Moore, #20190, was in full CHP winter uniform, and driving a black and white departmental sedan (Class E). Officer Moore was stopped facing northbound in the center median of US-395, north of Tom’s Place monitoring traffic. Officer Moore observed a black BMW driving southbound on US-395 exceeding the 65 MPH maximum speed limit.

"Officer Moore accelerated his patrol vehicle in order to follow the BMW, and then observed a marked patrol unit from the Mono County Sheriff’s Department making an enforcement stop on the BMW. After the Mono County Sheriff’s Department unit stopped the BMW, Officer Moore stopped to provide any necessary assistance."
