Adele is rumoured to be performing at the 2013 Oscars ceremony, as part of a planned James Bond tribute.

The award ceremony's producers have announced that there will be a special sequence celebrating the Bond movies, as it is the franchise's 50th anniversary.

It's thought that Adele's hit 'Skyfall' could be Academy Award nominated, as it is already on the nominations shortlist for Best Original Song, and if so then it is likely the singer would be asked to perform.

However, several online reports are suggesting that she could also be asked to perform at the Golden Globes, and could have to make a decision between the two award ceremonies.

'Skyfall' is nominated for a Golden Globe but the Oscars don't allow performers who have also appeared in the show for that year's Golden Globes.

Katy Perry's song 'Wide Awake' is also tipped for an Academy Award nomination, and the singer recently said that it would be a 'dream' to win an Oscar.

According to The Sun she said, "It's like a dream's dream. When I was growing up and working on music, it was always a dream to win a Grammy, but Oscar was so far out of my dream sphere."

She added, "This would be a nomination of a completely different calibre. One that is more impressive than many other ones I've had.

"It's interesting to step out of your playing field and to be recognised from a different angle. It would be an honour."
