Spice Girls fans hoping for another chance to 'zig-a-zig-ah' with the girlgroup look set to be disappointed, as a rumoured falling out between Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham is said to have ended all reunion discussions.
All of the other girls are in favour of a comeback, particularly Geri Halliwell, but Victoria is refusing to take part.
Geri is apparently no longer on speaking terms with Victoria due to her refusal, and manager Simon Fuller is having to sort out the issue.
A source told the Daily Record, "Geri wants the girls to be back on the road as soon as they can. She’s been trying to get in touch with Simon for the past few weeks but isn't getting anywhere. She and Victoria are no longer talking."
However, the source added that the plans are unlikely to go ahead without Victoria, as Posh Spice is the main attraction.
"A tour without Victoria is a real risk," the insider explained. "She may not do a load of the singing but she brings a lot more than people think to the table. On their reunion tour, she brought Madonna's choreographer Jamie King on board and organised a lot of the outfits with Dolce and Gabbana.
"Simon regards the project as a real risk without VB and without him to mastermind the thing, it's a tricky situation. It probably won't happen."
The Spice Girls - minus Victoria Beckham. Nothing new there, apparently
Ouch. With this, and the savaging of new musical Viva Forever! by critics, it looks like Spice fans aren't having a very good time of it at the moment.
The source finished by saying, "There are more than 40 great songs ready for release which the girls recorded over the past 15 years. It would be a shame for them never to see light of day."
