Rihanna's 'Stay' duet partner Mikky Ekko has pulled out of his upcoming support slot on Jessie Ware's UK tour, blaming the pressure of his newfound success on his cancellation.
Ekko was scheduled to support the 'Wildest Moments' star on a number of upcoming UK dates, but today announced he was unable to fulfill his commitments as he wanted to finish recording his debut album.
"So everyone knows, I'm no longer able to support Jessie Ware in March. Bummed i wont get to see u all, but I have finish recording my album," he wrote on Facebook today (8 January, 2012).
"I had to pull out because of what's going on with the Rihanna thing," Ekko tells Gigwise. "It catapulted things, and we realised we needed to get the record finished yesterday."
Ekko adds that he would also like to collaborate with Jessie Ware in the future, adding that the reason he agreed to joining her tour was the hope that the duo would find time to record together.
"I would like to do a collaboration with her in the future," he adds. "I'm in the mindset that i'm only out touring with people I'd like to collaborate with. 'Who Says No To Love' is such a tune."

Mikky Ekko also explained how Rihanna came to record 'Stay', saying that the track related as much to her troubled personal life as it does to his.
"The track had become so special to me as well, and knowing what the track means to me and what I think it means to her too, it really worked," he added. "It speaks to such an intimate side of her that is so rare and so far removed from what people think of her.
"I met up with some of her people in LA. She came out, we met, we hugged and talked for a minute about the song, she said 'oh, just so you know I've cut the vocal,' and I was like 'WHOA!' and of course I said 'that's no problem' - even though I was a little freaking out."
