Justin Bieber will take control of hit US show Saturday Night Live on February 9 2013 and will host the show as well as performing live.
The pop star will take to the SNL stage just days after his Believe Acoustic album is released on January 29.
Hinting at an SNL appearance, Bieber tweeted: "Maybe I'm hosting and performing on SNL. . . maybe. :)"
The rumours were later confirmed by US magazine, Billboard.
The 18-year-old singer will be hoping the television appearance will help to turn around his bad start to 2013.

We are only nine days into the new year and Bieber has already been embroiled in the accidental death of a chasing paparazzi as well as being snapped allegedly smoking illegal substances.
Billboard have backed up Bieber's teasing tweet as they have confirmed the singer will be hosting and performing on the February 9 Saturday Night Live show, which will be his first appearance since 2010 when he performed 'U Smile'.
