Elton John is being tipped to headline Bestival 2013, after announcing UK live shows the coincide with this summer's event.
He has announced a date at the new Leeds Arena on Wednesday 4th September - the day before the Isle of Wight bash kicks off.
Sir Elton also fits the description that Bestival boss Rob Da Bank gave of the Sunday night headliner in a recent interview with eFestivals.
Rob Da Bank described his 'exclusive' act as 'an icon'. He added, "The Sunday headliner will be the first time that this artist has played a festival in the UK."
Rob Da Bank is yet to confirm any acts for this year's event, but also quashed rumours that Daft Punk will perform at the festival.
"There's all kinds of crazy rumours flying about at the moment about Daft Punk at Coachella, and The Rolling Stones playing Glastonbury," he also said in the interview. "We got told months ago that Daft Punk were definitely not touring next year, but it keeps the rumour mill going."

Bestival has a lot to live up to in 2013, after it was named the Best Major Festival of 2012 at the annual UK festival awards.
The Isle Of Wight event was named Best Medium Festival in 2005 and has since gone on to win awards at nearly every year since.
Bestival won the Medium Festival award again in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. It won Best Major Festival in 2012, was voted Fans' Favourite Festival in 2011 and secured its place as one of the greatest events of last year by winning the Best Major Festival event for 2012.
