It seems that Justin Bieber's year is going from bad to worse as he now finds himself at the centre of a lawsuit for allegedly assualting his former bodyguard, Moshe Benabou.
Benabou claims that a disagreement led to Bieber launching an 'abusive tirade' that included repeatedly punching Benabou in the chest and upper body.
Benabou filed the lawsuit on Thurday, 10 January 2013 in Los Angeles Superior Court and claims to have worked for the pop singer between March 2011 and October 2012.
The lawsuit states: "The tirade was apparently triggered by what Justin Bieber perceived as an attempt by Moshe Benabou to keep one member of Mr. Bieber’s entourage physically away from Justin Bieber. As part of this tirade, Justin Bieber repeatedly punched Moshe Benabou in the chest and upper body area."
Benabou has said that he walked away from the attack and it was to be the last time he worked for Bieber as his employment was terminated.

The former Bieber bodyguard is also seeking $421,261 in unpaid overtime, vacation and other wage benefits from his time working for Bieber.
Benabou's attorney, Ilan Heimanson said in a statement:“For nearly two years Mr. Benabou devoted himself completely to ensuring Mr. Bieber’s personal safety.
“Mr. Benabou deserved, as does any employee, to be treated with respect, dignity and in accordance with the law. Unfortunately, he was not.”
This all comes in a busy 2013 for the pop star, who has already seen the accidental death of a paparazzi and accusations of smoking illegal substances so far this year.
Bieber's representatives are yet to make any comment on the case.
