Adele's odds to win an Oscar have been slashed following the star's Golden Globe for Best Song.
Bookies Ladbrokes have apparently cut the odds down to 2/5, and William Hill have followed suit - they were originally offering odds of 4/6 that the singer would win Best Original Song at the Oscars, and have now cut them down to 1/3.
They have also cut the odds that Adele would swear in her acceptance speech from 6/1 to 2/1. The decison followed Adele's language in her Golden Globes speech.
"It's very strange to be here and thank you so much for letting me be part of your world for a night," she said, when accepting her Golden Globe award. "It's amazing, we've been p**sing ourselves laughing at all of this."
William Hill spokesperson Rupert Adams said, "The odds suggest that the Oscar is as good as on the mantelpiece, the only question is will she be able to keep the acceptance speech clean?
"We don't see Adele as a planner and all the form suggests that a naughty word is highly likely to slip out."
Adele's new Golden Globe makes her almost a dead cert for the Oscar
