Hadouken! lead singer, James Smith has revealed that he would much rather play at the Reading and Leeds Festival than Glastonbury because 'it seems a little too big.'
Smith was discussing the likelihood of Hadouken! playing at this year's major festivals on the back of the band's third album Every Weekend, but wasn't too sure about a Glasto appearance.
When asked if the band would like to play Glastonbury 2013, Smith tells Gigwise: "I don't know man. I know for a fact the guy who runs the John Peel stage doesn't like us."
"We have played it before but I've never really enjoyed it."
However, the Hadouken! frontman would love the opportunity to play at the Reading and Leeds Festival again after a last minute place on the bill saw them pull in a huge crowd in 2012.
Smith said:" We were a last minute booking for Reading last year and I was more than happy with that crowd that we got."
"We even had good write-ups in the Guardian and NME."

Smith went on to say that he would rather play Reading and Leeds over Glastonbury this year. He said: "I would never say no to a booking, but Reading and Leeds are more my cup of tea."
"It's kind of more music, less sideshows."
