US stars MGMT have given the first listen of new material to one lucky fan - a cat.
The duo are currently working on their third album, and revealed on Twitter that they have finished new material, posting a photo of the lucky feline who has heard their long-awaited new tracks.
"This tiny kitten has just heard new MGMT songs," the band tweeted - showing a shocked looking cat, clutched by a pair of hands in what appears to be someone's flat.
The band are currently at work on the follow up to 2010's Congratulations album, which failed to live up to the success of the band's debut, 2007 album Oracular Spectacular.
The duo, Benjamin Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden, premiered a new track in April 2012, adding 'Alien Days' to their setlist while on tour in South America.
Frontman Wyngarden had also revealed in 2012 in an interview with Intercourse magazine that five new songs have been written to follow up to Congratulations.
