Skrillex might still be nursing his pride after his fiery birthday accident, but he might want to watch out for competition from Harvey the cockatiel.
"Just my bird Harvey dropping some fat beats," posted YouTube user Rainykauke.
The 45-second clip of the bird uploaded to YouTube shows the bird tweeting energetic whirs and warbles that sound not dissimilar to the recoiling basslines of well-known dubstep tracks.
In fact it's something of a shock that the bird's twitterings haven't already found their way into a bedroom DJ's YouTube mix, seeing as the clip has racked up nearly six million views since being posted on Sunday.
Online viewers have been quite taken with the bird.
TheYTphenom posted: "This is BrdAss BirdStep!!!"
TheJediNerd also joked that the bird was "Still better than One Direction."
Other users have asked where they can find a copy of the sounds, and some have claimed to have similar birds.
Perhaps it won't be long until we see a whole new, bird-orientated form of dubstep filling club dancefloors.
