Artists including Stereophonics and Mick Hucknall are aiming to try and recreate The Beatles' famous 12 hour recording session for Please Please Me.
In February 1963, The Beatles recorded Please Please Me at Abbey Road studios, and produced most of the songs in a 12 hour recording session for the album - which was released a month later.
In order to mark the 50th anniversary of the record, stars are coming together to try and recreate Please Please Me within the same amount of time. Stereophonics and Simply Red frontman Mick Hucknall are two of the acts involved, as well as Gabrielle Aplin.
The challenge is set to be broadcast live on BBC Radio 2, with the bands performing the songs live from Abbey Road studios on 11 February.
Bob Shennan, from BBC Radio 2, said, "The re-creation of Please Please Me promises to be one of Radio 2's stand-out moments of 2013.
"Hearing those tracks brought to life again with a contemporary twist will have the network buzzing as much as the original did.
"It's one album that changed the world of pop music and I think the 50th anniversary is a timely moment to remind everyone why."

The event will also be filmed for a BBC Four special which will be screened on 15 February, and called 12 Hours to Please Me.
Jo Whiley and Stuart Maconie are hosting the event, which will also see guests including engineer Richard Langham and Beatles press officer Tony Barrow, who were at the original session.
