The star revealed the birth of son Milan on her official website, announcing that the child was born on Tuesday of this week in the early evening.
"We are pleased to announce the birth of Milan Pique Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Pique, on January 22 at 9.36pm (8.36 GMT), in Barcelona, Spain," said a statement on the star's official website.
The statement also adds that Milan is alsready being primed to follow in his father's footsteps rather than his mother's, continuing: "Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth."
