Lindsay Lohan's movie career has hit a new stumbling block, after SXSW festival has refused to screen her controversial new film, The Canyons.
The movie has hit headlines due to the backstage drama surrounding the movie - as well as the amount of on-screen nudity seen in the movie. Lindsay Lohan stars in The Canyons with American porn star James Deen and director Gus Van Sant. The movie has previously been rejected by the Sundance film festival, and now SXSW has likewise refused the offer to screen the movie.
US publication The Hollywood Reporter claims that an insider for the festival said of The Canyons, "It’s got an ugliness and a deadness to it," although it also reports an official rejection from the festival has not been issued.
