Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger claims that she has not been invited to return to the X Factor in 2013.

The 'Don't Hold Your Breath' chart topper says that there have been no conversations about her possible return to the show, on which she mentored both the first and second place contestants in 2012.

I don't know [if I'll be back]," she told Kiss FM in a recent interview. "We haven't had the conversation yet – they've got to ask me.

"I had the best time. It was one of the best years I've ever had. I didn't know how much I'd fall in love with being here and the people – it's awesome," she adds.

Scherzinger also states that she had 2012 winner James Arthur picked as a winner from day one, saying his 'raw' talent stood him apart from the run of the mill TV talent show contestants.

"I knew he was it. He's not your cookie cutter talent – he's more authentic, homegrown and raw," she says.

Scherzinger has revealed plans to return to the UK in the summer of 2013 - even if X Factor isn't on the cards. The star has revealed she is hoping to tour this year, with her sights set on UK shows.

She tells Kiss: "Right now I'm really excited for all the hard work I put into my music to get that out."

"It's all about the music, and getting that out there. I can't wait to tour again."

The former Pussycat Doll also went on to tell the radio station that she would "probably" be touring the UK in the summer.
