Tulisa has revealed she is happy with the success of her debut album, The Female Boss, despite the record only reaching No.35 in the charts.

The star released her album in 2012, but after two years on prime time television as a judge on X Factor, The Female Boss failed to crack the top thirty, and third single 'Sight Of You' also failed to set the charts alight.

The N-Dubz singer remains upbeat however, saying her fans enjoyed the album, and that's what is important.

"I’m really happy with the album," Tulisa tells MTV news. "I’m happy with the response I got from my fans, they all seemed to really enjoy it and that’s all that matters."

In a second interview, with The Metro, the singer also reveals that she is glad to have the release of her album, and her X Factor commitments behind her - so she can focus on her acting career.

"It was pretty much a crazy year and everything felt like it was crammed in from recording the album to X Factor, everything was just insane," she tells the newspaper.

"Feels good to be out the way. I'm looking forward to starting a new chapter."

Tulisa has already starred in Brit horror (Demons Never Die - spoiler, Tulisa gets killed), and now claims to have a number of further films planned.

"I've kinda been doing acting for a while but never found the time," she adds.

"Now the album is out and done, I can find the time. I love acting as much as music so I would want to go to the top as much as I would in music.

"The X Factor is the only TV I would really do but I am getting back into my acting career this year. There's a couple of films in the pipeline."
