Adele's father has revealed he wants to be part of the singer's life again, hoping to be a grandfather to her new son, Angelo James.
The ‘Skyfall’ singer’s father, Mark, says he has been constantly trying to get in touch with her but has heard nothing in return.
Mark left his daughter when she was just two years old and sold his story in 2011, after which he was completely shut out but the singer.
“I’ve left messages on her phone, I’ve written to her and I've sent her birthday and Christmas cards but it’s like I’m dead to her," Mark told the Mail Online.
“I’m not interested in her celebrity status or her money, I just want me daughter back and I want to be a proper granddad to the little one.”
Adele’s father even tried to get in touch with the singer by turning up at her record company, but says nothing has worked.
It was recently revealed that Adele’s first child is called Angelo James, after the singer was spotted out shopping wearing a necklace with the name Angelo on it. Mark says he has no idea why Adele picked the names.
“I’m not sure why she’s chosen James, other than a reference to James Bond, and God alone knows where Angelo has come from, it’s very LA, isn’t it?" Mark said.

“I’d hoped so much that she’d put my late dad’s name, John, in there somewhere, but alas it looks as if it’s not going to be.”
Adele recently won a Golden Globe for her James Bond soundtrack tune ‘Skyfall’, and is hotly tipped to win an Academy Award as well.
