The Who are set to perform their legendary album Quadrophenia live, in full, on their 2013 tour, which has been announced this week.
The 'My Generation' legends will play ten dates across the UK in June, playing their generation-defining album Qudrophenia in it's entirety along with a selection of their best known hits.
The new Quadrophenia Tour has been directed by The Who's frontman Roger Daltrey himself, and will focus heavily on the idea of a rock opera, replacing the narratives used in previous stage versions with imagery projected on screens.
The UK shows will follow on from their US tour of Orth America which began in November and will wrap up at the end of February in Rhode Island.
Many see Quadrophenia as one of the seminal British rock albums, with the record having peaked at number two in the UK album chart when it was released.
A film was made loosely based on the record, starring Sting and Ray Winstone and documenting the clashes between the rockers and the mods as a backdrop for the main characters' experiences of adolescence.
Last year pete Towshend spoke of how the band feel the ghost of former members Keith Moon and John Entwistle.
