Californian band The Neighbourhood, one of the most hotly tipped new acts for 2013, recently dropped into Radio One's Live Lounge to record a couple of tracks.
Along with a toned down version of their track 'Let It Go', with minimalist drum tapes and hauntingly electric guitar rings, the band also recorded a medley cover of Destiny's Child's 'Say My Name'and Justin Timberlake's 'Cry Me A River'.
Both recording demonstrates the band's rhythm driven brand of music coupled with soul infused pop lyrics and influences.
The band recently spoke with Gigwise about the influence of hip hop in their music and their veiws on the current hip hop scene, calling Kanye West 'The Beatles of rap'.
The Neighbourhood arrived amid a certain degree of mystery last year, with the music press scrambling to work out who they were. They've so far offered up their Female Robbery EP and their debut album is expected this spring.
