The Who's Pete Townshend reveals he is a fan of reality TV - but considers pretty much everyone who takes part in the shows a 'c***'.
In an interview with The Sun, Townshend admits that his recent hearing aids have made it easier for him to start watching television, and that he's been watching a lot of reality TV.
The guitarist says, "I got hearing aids recently and I was sitting there watching TV. And I've now realised - you don't listen to TV any more. You sit there and spend your whole time shouting: 'What a c***, he's a c***, she's a c***, she's useless, she's great - vote for her'.
"It has created a different way of watching television. Reality TV is about what goes on in the room when you're watching it."
He goes on to talk about how the addition of technology means that musicians don't need to be as talented anymore, as the 'machinery' means that it can be added in later.
Townshend adds, "The machinery of making music means more people can do it now. The technology has made it easier to make music without being profoundly gifted.
"What Lady Gaga has done is created an iconic figure who is someone we can get inside. She's a story and it's fascinating to watch - she's like a space oddity."

The band also speak about their upcoming Quadrophenia tour and the fact that they haven't stopped performing, even though they're over 60.
Frontman Roger Daltrey says, "We will know it when we start going through the motions, when we have lost that drive. When that goes then we will stop - but it hasn't gone yet."
