Rapper Example has admitted to cancelling his scheduled gig in Aberdeen because "not enough people wanted to come again."
The 'Changed The Way You Kissed Me' chart topper was due to perform at Aberdeen's Exhibition and Conference Centre on 18 February, but the date has now been cancelled. Example announced the cancellation in an official statement.
"It is with great regret that I have had to cancel my show due to circumstances beyond my control," he says. "Everybody is obviously entitled to a full refund and you'll still be able to see me at Rockness where I'm one of the headline acts.
"I wish I was coming back, was so much fun last time. Obviously not enough people wanted to come again."
Example joins the likes of Jessie Ware, The Maccabees, The Vaccines and many more on the line up of this year's Rockness Festival, with the line-up for the event announced yesterday (31 January 2013).
Poor ticket sales have forced Example to cancel his Aberdeen gig
Other names on the line-up include, Ellie Goulding, Basement Jaxx, Madness, Bombay Bicycle Club, Newton Faulkner and Camera Obscura.
Rockness takes place in Dores, near Inverness, on 7 - 9 June 2013.
